This beautifully designed resort sits amidst the mesmerizing mountains of Kasauli. The site itself posed numerous difficulties as it had a 60-degree slope—local materials like slate, stone, and fabric in a contemporary modern style. The vernacular architecture was intensely studied and analyzed, carefully used for the hotel. As the hotel is conveniently placed in between some beautiful scenery, the architect outlined multiple interactive translations where the indoors and outdoors amalgamate. The fabrics and carpets were chosen to follow a warm theme while helping to get the surrounding greenery into the hotel. The architecture of Himachal Pradesh also has a lot of influences of the colour green. The colour was brought into the hotel through public areas as well as the rooms.
