One of the oldest projects by Studio B, where we got the opportunity to design this hotel through a competition. The design is a city hotel that heavily features local art and culture. The kikori fabric that is traditionally worn by the women as scarves during the summer were used as bed runners in rooms. The local African art has been featured in every possible way. African art was used as panelling on walls to make the culture and tradition of the context the most important feature. Local drifted wood was used to make the furniture. The interiors are adorned with the colour black, while pops of colours give the user the essence of the culture.
